 Rooted in Her is an immersive experience that showcases “mother nature” and how it is personified as nurturing and life-giving. The installation takes place within trees that naturally grow into a tunnel-like formation that visually relates to the idea of a mother’s womb. With this, Rooted in Her utilizes the organically formed space of the Fullerton Arboretum to effectively highlight nature’s power of creation and the importance of reconnecting to our earthly roots. We tend to undermine the importance of nature and how beneficial it is for humans to connect to the source of life that defines the space we live in.
