"Sanctuary” A Safe Haven, 2024

Glass, Acrylic, Steel, PVC, Wood

"Sanctuary" is an immersive installation art piece designed to celebrate the natural beauty of birds while highlighting the importance of creating safe spaces for avian populations in urban environments. The focal point of the installation is a collection of intricately crafted birdhouses, each designed to provide shelter, comfort, and protection to our feathered friends. The goal of the installation is to give the viewer the opportunity to witness the beauty of these animals, where although they are free, they are not necessarily safe in the wilderness. Sanctuary represents safe spaces not only for birds but for us in our lives as well. "Sanctuary" is more than just an art installation; it is meant to educate viewers about the challenges faced by bird populations due to habitat loss, climate change, and urbanization. By highlighting the role of birdhouses as safe havens in an ever-changing landscape, the installation prompts viewers to reflect on their own impact on the natural world and inspires them to take action in creating bird-friendly spaces in their communities. The concept of "Sanctuary" goes beyond aesthetics; it embodies a commitment to conservation and environmental stewardship.
